Second Week of School

Hi again! Here's what's been happening in my week so far!

I watched part of the VMAs Sunday-the first time I ever watched them, actually. It was really cool, because I recently got a Twitter account so I saw people, friends, and celebrities tweet as it was happening. It was like I was actually there :DAs far as the actual show...well, it was...interesting. Mainly because of Miley Cyrus' performance O_O Seriously, it's all over the internet. And I'm glad Taylor Swift won an award for her single, "I Knew You Were Trouble", but I don't like how she thanked the guy who she wrote a song about. I'm pretty sure he's not happy that she wrote a song saying he's the bad guy. But whatever...On the bright side, Justin Timberlake had an awesome performance. He even pulled out NSYNC ;)

So on Monday I did school again, of course. I forgot that we started school early...everyone else started Monday. Lucky them :P On the bright side, I'll get an earlier break :D So take that! XD (Lol I'm seriously just kidding...) But anyways school wasn't SO bad, especially since I can usually get it done by 10:30ish :D

I tried a jazz class on Tuesday at the studio I went to next week. It was okay; I mean, we did some of the same stuff, but I wish we had worked on combinations (like next week). But the teacher said that he would give us one next week, so I might show up again. I didn't know anyone there, of course, so that was kind of uncomfortable. But I'll try to talk to them next time (if I go, of course).

Okay, I've become a little addicted to Figment. It's this site where you can publish your stories for free-I enjoy writing stories myself! I've got like 4 or 5 going on at once, but anyway, that's besides the point... There's a group on there where people can make covers for your virtual books, and I went a little crazy over asking people to do it for me because, well, they're just so gorgeous!

I think I've found another studio where I want to try classes. The other place I went Tuesday didn't have tap, and tap and modern/lyrical are my favorite dance forms. But this other studio recently moved and now they have tap (they couldn't before because they were in this old building with a bad floor)-they also have modern, as they are a big modern studio. But it's 45 minutes away from where I live! :O However, as my mom said, if it's worth it we should go. They have no recital there, but I'm perfectly okay with that 'cause it looks like they have much more performance opportunities than just one big deal. But we'll see...

I finally got to go to the library Thursday! :D Mom just brought my other siblings because Manny wasn't there to watch them...unfortunately that didn't work out too well with her-she went to the grocery store, and...well, I have 3 siblings under age ten, so let's just say they were kind of rowdy. Not to mention there are (not counting Manny, of course) 7 kids, so that doesn't leave too much room for groceries in the van for a family our size. Mom said she might just go to the park next time...lol...

Wow, that's a lot more than what's happened last week! I guess it's because I did more this week-great! :D Well, I'll see you all next week, I guess. I hope I will have done more by then, too. But who knows? And anyway, I love my life, so whatever I do will be fine :)

BYE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Back To School

Manny started college again on Monday, and he's gone from like 11-4 (he's got a long break in-between times) so it's been busier this week. More running around, if that makes any sense. Sage, the baby, usually hangs out with him, so we have more taking care of to do with her (espeically since she's hit those terrible twos and likes yelling for some reason :P). I may have to change my library volunteering location since it's closer to where Manny's taking classes.

The start back to school wasn't soo bad...I didn't have my mah ordered yet so I just did English and History. I read this really weird story called "The Tell-Tale Heart" and some interesting Greek history. And I watched the Switched At Birth series finale-it wasn't the best, but better than the other few episodes. And at the end they showed a promo and had some of the actors chatting live on Facebook :)

On Tuesday I didn't go to the library since I wanted to try a dance class at this other studio, and by the time I get back I'm always mentally tired from reading all the books :P. So in the evening (around six-ish) I went over to try this teen lyrical class there.

The lady there (the owner of the studio) was nice, and her husband (it's a family-owned business) seemed funny. And then I went inside the class and the teacher was pretty nice. There was only one other girl there, who was like, 12 and she probably had been dancing longer than me, but whatever...the owner said that there were more girls, who were in high school, coming next week (they usually started when school started. The teacher was new, so we didn't do too much since she didn't really know what we had known or not. But she was pretty relaxed and wasn't really strict but structured me (like saying what I did wrong) so that was nice. Overall I did like the class, but I wished I had done some combinations. She said we would probably do that next week, probably since more people would be there, so I might go back.

Not much happened the other days...I'm thinking about getting more schoolwork to do since I have a lot of free time. And I've gotta figure out a time when to go to the library-I'll probably go Saturday. And I wanna join that homeschool group and maybe do a few more activities...idk

Bye!!!

This Week...

Let's see what's been happenin' this week:

I made some more flip-flops on Saturday! They are so. Freaking. Cute. I'm seriously in love with them. I really want to go out somewhere where I can wear them. Maybe I should've made them early on the summer...oh, well, there's always next year :P

Anyway, here are some pictures of them:

I ate at Golden Corral on Sunday. I decided not to read "The Hobbit" because, unfortunately, I just could t get into it. But maybe I'll get into it another time. And I guess I could like "Lord of The Rings" better. It seemed interesting enough.

I spent some of Monday thinking about how next Monday will be *dramatic pause* THE START OF SCHOOL AGAIN!!! AHHH!!! EVERYBODY RUN FOR YOUR LIVES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Seriously, though, I do NOT want to do school again. I love all the free time I have right now. But I guess I need to, you know, learn "educational" things so I can "learn" and "get a job", whatever those words mean... At least I get to dance again :D. And I watched Switched At Birth that day, but unfortunately it's taking a break until January :(. But the good news is that it's GETTING A THIRD SEASON!!! :D

Tuesday was library week. I rented "The Wizard of Oz" because, while I didn't like an adaption I read as much as I would have hoped to (it was just okay), I hoped that the original version might be better. And it does look a little better.

My grandma came on Thursday to celebrate her birthday, along with my second and third cousins! I won't say her age up here, because, well, she won't like that ;). But seriously, that reminds me...everyone in my family knows when Meemaw was born, but apparently our cousins didn't, not even the mom! It was SO funny when Manny told them...and then it was funny when Meemaw came over this Wednesday and gave Manny a look before saying that they told her that Manny told them her real age. I had been anticipating that moment the following week, and it was priceless.

I got to more of my writing on Thursday...I'm forcing myself to stick to a few stories at a time now instead of, like, 15! One story I will write at a time and finish, and then I'll move on to the next one. I hit major writer's block that day, though, so I just started organizing my characters and storylines, if that makes any sense. I'm bringing back story ideas I had back in 2005, so they already have a basis and that makes it easier for me to write. Plus, it makes me feel like I'm 8 again :D

Well today's Friday, *DUH DUH DUH*! Mom said we were gonna start *gulp* school again, but my math hasn't arrived yet, so we're probably gonna look over my other subjects until math comes around. And I'll probably be mostly organizing my work today, she said. Like moving old things from old binders and stuff.

That's all for this week. See you later!

New Month

Okay, so it's officially August now! *throws confetti* Well actually, it was August Thursday, but on my last post some of it was in July so ALL of it wasn't in August...yeah, whatever, nobody cares, Fairley :P

So Saturday and Sunday were spent just as a weekend should be spent-laziness! XD I started watching "Lost" again after a LONG hiatus (like several months) on Thursday or Friday. I didn't watch any episodes Sunday, though, but I may get back to it. The show is VERY intriguing but also really surreal and confusing at times. I'm in mid season 3 now so I've got at least 3 more seasons to go...

I did a little purging on Monday-purging is my Mom's middle name! Seriously, she LOVES to purge, like it's her obsession or something. But anyway, she and Manny were rearranging things in the house that caused me to have to relocate some of my stuff, so I was like, "Why am I keeping [so and so]?" So yeah, that felt good :) I also watched "Switched At Birth" as usual, and the new episode of Lab Rats-but I had to miss it because it came on through the middle of SAB :( But my sister Amber watched it so she gave me some recapping and I went to watch the second half of it. It was good :)

Tuesday I went to the library as usual. I borrowed "The Hobbit" from there because everyone I know seems to love it and the entire "Middle Earth" series. I'm really into reading books that are popular because I myself love good books and always welcome a new series to read.

On Wednesday some of our relatives (my second and third cousins) came over to our house in the afternoon, so that was nice. They stayed for a few hours and then left. And I read some of "The Hobbit", but that's about it.

Once it was Thursday I read some more of "The Hobbit" that day. I don't really love it, but it's interesting to a point. I love adventure novels, but it just seems to be going so fast that I can't take the time to enjoy the characters. But I'll finish reading it before I get my overall opinion on it.

Today my Mom plans to take me and my siblings to do some shopping (I need some clothes). I also hope we can swing by the craftstore and get more duct-tape-I'm gonna make more duct-tape flip-flops so I can improve on them (and give some to my sisters ). I've also got to find a Spanish program for me to learn from when I start back school (I have to take a foreign language class if I go to college). I saw Rosetta Stone online, but there's also a few at the library. I'll probably get the one at the library because it costs $0 extra (we have to pay the taxes anyway) and Rosetta Stone is at least $100.

Well, that's all for this week! Bye!

Summer Ending

Okay, here's what's been happening this week!

I made some flip-flops on Saturday OUT OF DUCKTAPE!!! I was so excited and probably giggled like a crazy person, lol. I made my first one on Friday, I believe, but the second ones (predictably) turned out better. But I still love them to death, because guess what? I needed flip-flops and now I created my own!!! And all it took was a couple of dollars of ducttape and some old Bojangos cardboard (I'm serious!)

I spent the weekend rather lazily, which I don't really mind since it's...well, the weekend. I was going to watch "Atlantis: The Lost Empire" Friday or Saturday but never got to it. I remember the film pretty well and-even though it wasn't the greatest Disney movie ever-it seemed a bit overrated from what I remember of it. It was a fun adventure film-yeah, it wasn't typical Disney fashion, but neither was "Lil and Stitch" or "The Emperor's New Groove" (another underrated film).

Monday wasn't too special..I'm just reminded of how it's almost August and school will start back again (NOOOOO!!!!) I don't want summer to go away from me-it was so nice. But then again, as I said on my last post, I will start dancing again and that will be fantastic!

Anyway, on Monday I decided to read "The Alchemyst"; I had gotten the book at a very good price at our library's annual book sale, but never got the chance to read it. It's pretty interesting and had me hooked near the very beginning. Unfortunately I can't say the same about "Incarceron", another book I got from the book sale that is just too confusing for me to enjoy right now-at least the beginning is. I don't know what's going on!

The new Switched At Birth episode came on that day. It was about boy drama (boohoo :P) but it was more interesting than I thought it would be. But the next promo looks like more romantic drama. I wish the show focused on the family stuff more-it's more interesting. And while we're on the subject of television, remember that episode of Lab Rats I was excited for? Turns out it's NEXT WEEK. Next. Week. Seriously, they're gonna make me wait for it?

I went to the library on Tuesday and found out that the person in charge of the volunteers was transferred to another library :(. I didn't see her all the time, but I was fond of her so I'm kinda sad that she left. They have someone knew, I think, but I haven't met her yet. After I volunteered I borrowed "Charlie And The Chocolate Factory" and some Star Wars visual guide book :0)

Wednesday was my sister, Imani's 18th birthday :). And on a sidenote, it was also J.K. Rowling's birthday! She's my favorite author in the entire world. Ever. I have never met an author who could make sequels just as good, on the same level, or possibly BETTER than the first one.

My grandma also came to our house that day to celebrate Imani's birthday :). She brought us a cookie cake like she does for most of our birthdays. I would post a picture but I'm 99% sure the cake is gone now...lol. So anyway, we talked and played a game of charades afterwards, and by the evening or late afternoon she left and we said our goodbyes.

Not much happened on Thursday, except that it was the first day of August. Which just reminded me of how I'm starting school in a few weeks-NOOOOOOOO! (Okay, I'm done now). I'm gonna miss my summer; I'm gonna miss my freedom, the days where I could just get up and do whatever the heck I wanted. I have chores, yes, but there's no schoolwork. It was as much freedom as I could have, and now it's gone :(

But anyway, I'll stop complaining...school starting back also means return of my extracurricular activities! I really want to start dancing again, which I will sometime this month! I'm thinking of taking tap and jazz and a lyrical or modern class, or maybe just two classes if I can't do three. Some of my classmates from my old studio were hoping we could get together and find a jazz class we could all take to stay in touch on Mondays, but I couldn't find one :P. At least we're friends on Facebook so I can see what's going on in their lives.

I'm also considering adding more extracurricular activities, but I'm not sure exactly what else I want to do. I have considered volunteering somewhere else, but I really don't know where. I would love to be apart of something that really made a difference, like some anti-bullying organization or whatever, but I'm not sure if it would be something I'd do weekly or not. And I'm also looking to join a homeschool group and see if the one I'm already apart of has any interesting events going on (it's a newsletter group so it regularly posts about activities around the community. And maybe I could get a job. I need money XD

But anyway...it's Friday now and all that stuff is in the future! Let's just enjoy summer now, shall we? I really really really want to do something other than volunteering at the library, but I'm not gonna worry about schoolwork as of now. I'm just gonna sit back and enjoy what's left of my ultimate freedom. Living in the moment, you know? Cause I'm chill like that ;)
