Late March

I finally saw Divergent last Saturday!!! While it wasn't as good as the book, it was enjoyable, and it was awesome seeing all the parts of the book on the screen. I just wished they had more time to show the parts they took out from the book, you know? It made the story's buildup better in the book. But I still enjoyed it. Shaliene Woodley was pretty good as Tris, as was Theo James as Four (not to mention a hottie ;)

My Little Pony's episode was slightly better last week! Not as good as the one with Maud (which was hilarious), but I'm glad I enjoyed it :) I still think it's kind of weird how Luna can enter pony's dreams, though...talk about stalking ;) haha!

I can't help but wishing that Once Upon A Time was like season 1 and 2 :P Zelena's character isn't bad, and she's played by a good actress, but she's not "evil" enough for me. Also, they're making her out as a big baddie, just like Peter Pan, when I found Rumple and Regina more interesting. At least I'm more interested in seeing where the story was going as opposed to when they were in Neverland.

I'm glad the girl who was at dance class last Monday was here this week, as was a girl who had been gone for a few weeks :D I love how we do random choreography for three or so weeks - it's what I did back at my old dance studio in jazz class (except that was every class).

I wished Switched At Birth would stop with romantic drama again. They did the same in the season 3 finale. Also, I loved Bemmet, but Bay KISSED him while dating Tank! The whole reason Bemmet broke up was because Emmet CHEATED on Bay! Ugh, it's so out of character :P

Wednesday was my birthday! I can't believe I'm already 17 :O Haha, anyway, my parents got me some really tasty snacks that I had been wanting (Pringles, kettle chips, Reese's cups,  and orange sodas) and some duct-tape and nail stuff. It was a LOT so I shared some with my siblings, but I still got a good portion of it. Snacks are just as good as any other sort of gifts ^_^

It's also been 4 years since I've gotten a Facebook account! Facebook has changed a lot since I got on. I remember when there was no timeline and other features that I can't remember that they changed XD Farmville used to be really popular, too, and now it's all about Candy Crush.

I saw Colin Ford again at the library!!! But I was so nervous I didn't talk to him :/ I know we've already been introduced, but I kept worrying that he'd think I was some sort of stalker if I was in the exact same place he was in at the same time :O But I do volunteer, as Momma pointed out I could have told him. I'd still feel awkward, but I wish I had said something. Oh, well, at least I got a picture with him those weeks ago :3

Speaking of the library, I got Uglies. I couldn't get into The Lost Hero and I finished Crossed My Heart And Hope To Spy, and I love dystopians, so I decided to get it. I haven't read much of it yet, but it seems interesting so far. I love how thought-provoking the premise is concerning what's "beautiful" and what's "ugly" according to our society.

I'm doing horrible with Lizard-Man :P I can barely get in my word limit a day, and I missed an entire day :O Oh, well, I'm going to try to get some in today. I'm supposed to be finished by April (the month I rewrite my Star Wars fanfic--whohoo! :D) At least I have ideas for other stories, though. That proves that I don't have universal writer's block! :)

Well, that's it for the week. I got backed up on schoolwork so I'm going to have to do it today--no fun :P Also, my Pinterest was acting funky but my Mom got it back up and I found TONS of craft ideas that I'll try to post up here next week ^_^ Bye!!!

More March Stuff

Like the writing quote? It's from the lovely Figment website. They had a whole section dedicated to writing quotes. Some of them were just so amazing that I had to post them on Tumblr. Oh, how I love Figment and writing in general :) Anyway...

Momma's birthday was Sunday :) So Daddy got her some really tasty snacks--chips, chocolate, etc.--and she shared them with us :D That's all I want for my birthday: snacks and an iTunes gift card! XD Oh, and tickets to see Divergent, which I will probably see Saturday :) Hana couldn't come, unfortunately--she was busy--but I wouldn't mind going alone. Or I could invite someone else. It's all good! ;)

I have to admit that Sunday's episode of "Once Upon A Time" was slightly better than most of the first half of season 3. It's nice to see the characters back in the Enchanted Forest (and have Megan Orey back, even if Ruby's only in a few episodes). But I don't like how they're trying to connect everything together. Zelena/Wicked Witch of the West is Regina's sister. I have to admit that I saw it coming, but still...it's like when they made Peter Pan Rumple's dad. Speaking of Rumple, he's alive--albeit crazy. I knew he wasn't dead, but now he's back in imp form. Ah, well, I guess I'll have to wait next week to see what happens. By the way, Rpaunzel's gonna be on! This is going to be cool--I always love meeting new fairytale characters :)

We did more improv Monday, and I have to say that I liked both it and the dance we did :) I just wish I would let myself go more in improv. I'm always nervous that my classmates and teachers are judging me, but I'm gonna shush that part of my brain because I don't know what they're thinking. And I love dancing :)

Switched At Birth really needs to cut down on the romantic drama. I don't want Bay and Tank together--they're just better as friends, and I just don't see it working. I knew Toby and Nikki were going to break up with the whole long-distance relationship thing. And then Daphne and Campbell are okay, but I miss Wilkey :( But the promo for next week...omg. I hate how SAB always mixes up clips to make it look more dramatic, but it always pulls me in.

My brother Alston's birthday was Tuesday! :) He got some plus Marvel toys, plus a $50 Xbox gift card to buy The Lego Movie game (which I will be happy to play :) But for some reason, it takes forever to load to

I did a little better on Lizard-Man this week (or at least one day...I barely wrote a thing Wednesday...) Sometimes I get hit with these random ideas and my fingers start typing faster than my brain is processing what I'm writing. I do so love when that happens :D If only I could feel like that all the time...stupid writer's block :P

Speaking of writing, I know I said this a little while ago, but I think I finally have a chance of winning in a writing contest! :D It's just that the FigmentInLove contest had an Editor's Pick section and my story was one of them! :O And when I look at "Most hearted", mine was on the second row!!! And I've gotten more people saying they like it than my other stories! Do you know how happy I'll be if I win? I've never won a contest before. Not that I entered just to win, of course that was part of the fun, but if I win...I'll be so happy. And since people seem to like this story better than my others, I've got to figure out what I've done in this one and apply it to my other stories :)

That reminds me - Movellas got too many contests going on for me to keep up with! :O Seriously, though, I have two contest entries going on right now, neither of them finished (the first one's first draft is, but not the second), and I've still got the first draft of the other story's chapters. But I do so love entering in contests. Also, since I don't have the brain power to come up with a completely different story idea, I'm pulling out old ideas I've had but never finished ;)

I finished Cross My Heart and Hope To Spy Tuesday, and I have to say that it was...okay. It wasnt one of the best book I've ever read, but I didn't dislike it. It was funny at some parts, like when the protagonist, Cammie, would casually remark about how her school for spy girls normally hacked into CIA stuff and such ;), and I'm glad the descriptions weren't too wordy, but that was it for me. It was just a light read. Nothing really serious happen, which is fine, but at the same time I wanted more of an epic story (ala Harry Potter). Also, the boy drama stuff isn't horrible, but sometimes the whole"OMG boys are SO hot! How do I talk to them?" bit is kind of off-putting. But at least I kind of liked it.

I'll probably read The Lost Hero next. I don't like how long it is - I know I read Harry Potter, which had a book that was over 700 words long, but it was Harry Potter  ;) Haha, but seriously, Heroes of Olympus is entertaining, but it's not as great as Harry Potter for me, so I don't want to read its length. But it still is interesting, I love Greek mythology, and, until I get my hands on Champion and some EU books (I MUST have them!), then this is the best thing I can read :)

Meemaw came over Wednesday and did a birthday thing for all March people (mine isn't until the 26, but she might not be there and wanted to do it for all of us). So we had some delicious cookie cake (yum!) and I got a $25 iTunes gift from her, which is seriously awesome! I just need about twenty more of those to buy all the albums I want...lol ;)

Well, that's it for this week. My Little Pony's scheduled to come on as usual, and it's a lovely weekend :) But what's even more exciting is that I GET TO SEE DIVERGENT TODAY!!! :D I couldn't go yesterday because Mom was invited to a friend's wedding in the evening and I can't drive :P haha, anyway, I stayed away from reviews and now I'm nervous as to how good it'll be. Oh, well, I guess I'll see later on today! ;) Ciao!!!

Spring Forward

I just thought I'd give y'all an Alice in Wonderland quote :) I know it's one of the craziest stories I've ever read, but I love it so much! I think it's because it's set in a fantastical world. I love the idea so much that I wrote a modern day version of it, which, while needs editing, you can read on Movellas if you're interested ;)

Speaking of writing, the story I did (which is called "Alice's Wonderland", so there's no question about whether or not if it's related to Lewis Carol's story), I want to enter in all these contests for Movellas and Figment, but I'm struggling! They have short word limits (Movellas is 3,000 while Figment's is a tiny 500), so I find that I can't pour out all my ideas into the story :/ I'm really struggling with Figment because they have a new contest entry and I have NO ideas for it, plus the word limit is small. I wished they did at least 1,000. Oh, well, this'll always be my writer's dilemma, too many or too little words...

I guess that was kind of random, huh? But so am I ;) Anyway, this'll just be a log of random things that happened this week to me that I found interesting (I love my life, but I realize that it's pretty normal and not all the time incredibly interesting :P lol).

Okay, so I watched a few episodes of The Clone Wars on Netflix Saturday and have been doing some reading, and I must say that the show has some very interesting story lines. But it's also pretty violent...I mean, people's necks are getting snapped, people are being impaled...it's brutal. Just for once, can't we have a cool, complex show that both kids and adults can watch without having to concern ourselves with over-the-top violence? That's a rant for another day, folks. Anyway...

So it was Daylight's Saving's Time Sunday. I've never liked Daylight Saving's Time, though. I mean, I get why we have it, but I hate how an hour's taken away. I'd rather let it be darker outside than to save light and loose an hour. But I just don't like adjusting to new things :P haha, I'll get over it...

Once Upon A Time came back on. I can't say it was the best episode I've seen, but it wasn't bad, and it's certainly got me interested for what's in store next week. Hopefully it'll be better than the first half of season 3.

So we did improv again at dance class Monday :) I have to say that, although I was nervous before having my classmates looking at me (and still am to an extent), I love letting myself go in dance. If only I could have remembered the lyrics to the song we danced to and google them or asked my teacher what the song was, I'd add it to my "Choreography" playlist on Spotify.

I'm afraid Switched At Birth is going back into romantic territory :P Honestly, though, I don't care about Daphne's love triangle or Bay's relationship issues where NO guy ever seems to like her and cheats/lies about cheating on her or some other problem (seriously? Does no one like Bay? :/) I want to get back to the family stuff. I like romance, but the family drama dynamic was the main reason I watched the show. And I've seen others online saying the same thing. Oh, well, I guess I can just rewatch season 1 on Netflix. I loved that season :)

I still couldn't find Champion at the library Thursday :P I wanted something good to read and wanted to stop obsessing over Star Wars with the EU novels (not to mention the ones I really wanted weren't there), so I borrowed The Lost Hero and Cross My Heart And Hope To Spy.

I must admit that, while I am not as big of a fan of the Heroes of Olympus series as my brother Manny is, I thought it was pretty good, and I'm enjoying the book so far. Also, I didn't love I'd Tell You I'd Love You, But Then I'd Have To Kill You, but I'm enjoying the sequel. Maybe it's just one of those situations where your expectations were too high and, since I didn't have as much enthusiasm for the second book, I ended up liking it better (the same thing happened with Percy Jackson). Anyways, I'm glad I'm enjoying it :)

I don't know what to do with Lizard-Man anymore! :O I don't want to skip over to the middle/near the end already, but I'm running out of ideas! Looks like I'll have to get back to reading for more ideas--that certainly helped me get WAY too many ideas for Star Wars fanfictions than needed :P At least I still have ideas to write! Whenever I have writer's block, I try forcing myself to get through a story (because I'm staying to outline them with a beginning and an end, so I know where I'm going with them), or head over to another story of mine (because I have too many ideas XD) and start writing. SO TAKE THAT, WRITER'S BLOCK! HA! (Yeah, I know, I'm so excitable sometimes...)

So that's pretty much it for this week. Meemaw came over Tuesday and we chatted and did some fun stuff. I was surprised by how much I enjoyed this week's My Little Pony--Maud was hilarious XD. I am so excited for Divergent, which, by the way, comes out in less than a week :)  I'm probably gonna invite a friend who's already read the books, Hana, the girl I also invited to go see Catching Fire with back in November. And speaking of friends, my good friend Claire's birthday is today, so I wished her a happy birthday on Facebook. I guess she's a March baby like me :) haha, ciao!!!

Birthdays, Dance, And More

I was out pretty much all day Saturday. Dad had us leave around 10am for breakfast, and then we stayed out all afternoon doing stuff: bookstores, movies, lunch...This is a pretty vague answer, of course, so I'll break them down into separate paragraphs:

First we went to Cracker Barrel for lunch, and I must say that I was pleasantly surprised. You see, I'm one of those people who doesn't like most breakfast food--I mean, I like pancakes and waffles, but I can't stand scrambled eggs (I can tolerate boiled ones but don't particularly like them), I don't really like grits, I don't like French toast, etc. But I got pancakes and fruit there, so I'm glad I found something I liked :)

Later on we went to the bookstore, and oh. My. Gosh. I am just like, obsessed with books. Seriously. I saw the Legend Trilogy there, but, of course, I didn't need it at the time because I found "Prodigy" and "Champion" at the library (whohoo! :D), but they had these books on Greek mythology, another one of my obsessions. I didn't know what to get, and I was in the middle of reading "Prodigy", so I just didn't get anything. But once I'm done with the Legend series I may look into those Greek myths :)

Then, after that, we went to Red Robin for lunch :D I LOVE Red Robin. Seriously, they have some of the best food there...their burgers are especially good. Oh, and they have bottomless fries...(I can literally envision the food right now...ah :O). Hehe, anyway, I ordered a caesar salad wrap to be healthier, and it was SO GOOD! And there were fries, too, so...okay, now I wish I had the food again right now! :D

Finally, I watched "The Lego Movie" because my brother wanted to, and it was pretty awesome! It was hilarious and even though the story was typical Believe-In-Yourself, it was done in a way that was engaging. Plus, they didn't take themselves too seriously most of the time, so that made it better. Overall it was pretty darn good and I wouldn't mind seeing the sequel :)

I had a blast roleplaying with my friend, Sarah, and her friends on Sunday. You see, Sarah revived an old blog and turned it into an ultimate fan hangout area. Once a week we plan to roleplay. Last week I was Loki and Darth Vader and, well, let's just say it involved the Doctors and TARDIS from Doctor Who, and Kingdom Heart Characters :P hehe, I love my random friends :)

So Manny's birthday was Monday! He turned 20! I can't believe he's already an adult :O We didn't do a ton, but we still had fun. I gave Manny a gift card for iTunes, my parents gave him some stuff, and we ate at Texas Roadhouse Tuesday--it was delicious! :)

We did more improv at dance class Monday ^_^ I'm always incredibly nervous when I have people watching me in class, but I'm getting myself to relax. Letting go and losing myself in dance is such a wonderful feeling. I know it may sound cliche, but it's the truth. You can lose yourself in music, and in dance...it's like your body's response to it. That's how I feel, at least :)

Switched At Birth was kind of weird last week...it was kind of like a dance or musical, because, while the main story was series, they had moments where characters would randomly dance. It just felt out-of-place and, I don't know, weird :/ But whatever, it was still watchable...

Agents of Shield was a little better last week. A little. It had me on the edge of my seat when I was wondering how they'd cure Skye. They should do more episodes like this--have them connecting the story lines together instead of having episodes that could be totally separate from them. The ending was confusing, but at least it's got me asking some questions.

Meemaw came over Wednesday and we got cookie cake (YUM!!!) for Manny and Sage's birthday (Sage's birthday wasn't until the 8 so it was an early birthday gift). And Daddy got Manny a Playstation, which he seems to enjoy :) I feel like we've got every game system there is--we have a Wii, an Xbox, some DS's, and now a Playstation. We're very game-savvy, haha ;)

I finished Prodigy Thursday, and I must say that it was really good! I think I liked Legend slightly better, mainly because the romantic drama in this one annoyed me, and in the entire series the characters seem too powerful for their own good at times, but the plot was stellar, and I loved the whole "Who can I trust?" thing June and Day had going on. Marie Lu did a great job on this one.

Speaking of Prodigy, anyone who read my post last week will know that I said I saw Champion at the library as well. Well, I thought to myself last week, "Well, I'll just check out Prodigy now and hopefully Champion will be here when I volunteer next week." WRONG. It wasn't there Thursday. I regret not checking it out when I had the time. I mean, I could have a book for three weeks, so I wouldn't let it out of my sight! Ugh, well, at least I know not to do it next time😛

So instead, I checked out way too many Star Wars Expanded Universe novels. I want to read them and I want to be reading something every week or so. Even though there are a lot, at least I have three weeks to keep it INSTEAD OF SOMEONE ELSE TAKING IT WHILE I'M NOT THERE😛 Like seriously, though, I learned my lesson with Legend to use my full three weeks to an advantage😛

I voted on the Kids' Choice Awards the same day. I wonder if I'm getting too old for the KCAS, since I'll be 17 when it airs? Lol, jk. But seriously, I still enjoy them. Tjhey were the first award shows I watched (I mean, I saw the MTV awards last year, and I wanted to watch the Oscars but never got to watching it). I think the one in 2009 was my favorite--they've cut down on the sliming (boohoo :P), but last year's one was better than the one before that (at least I think so..lol :P)

This really sucks, but I've run into writer's block Friday and pretty much all week with Lizard-Man :P It's not that I'm not reading enough, but the books I'm reading aren't going to give me ideas for a superhero story. I just finished a dystopian novel (Prodigy) and the other books I have are Star Wars novels, so all they're doing is helping fuel my obsession and giving me fanfic ideas. Which isn't a bad thing, but I also want to be moving along with Lizard-Man :/ Ah, well, maybe I'll watch some reruns of my favorite superhero movies/shows and see if I can get any ideas from there. At least I'm getting more Star Wars ideas :D

Speaking of which, I saw that they had The Clone Wars series on Netflix. I used to have a preconceived notion of hatred for the series, because it seemed to contradict the movies. However, once I realized that they have different writers from the filmmakers and it wasn't considered main canon (not to mention I *matured* lol :P), I started enjoying the series :) They have some cool, complex plot lines that deal with political stuff and human nature  which I always enjoy ;) Haha, and the episode I watched was kind of dark, but I love the whole "dark side vs. light side" conflict that exists in the Star Wars universe. It makes it all the more interesting :D

Anyway, enough blabbing on and on about Star Wars--let's get back to my writing. I saw the winners for Figment's FigmentPowers contest. At first I was super excited, but, unfortunately, I didn't win :( But it's all good! One of the girls who had an awesome story one, so I'm happy for her. And I want to congratulate all the winners instead of acting bitter--true, I would have liked to have won, but you can't have everything, and I'm glad they have the excitement of winning. On the plus side, I may have the chance of winning Figment's FigmentInLove contest entry--I saw it on the Editor's Choice area in one of my emails, so that gives me hope!!! :D

Well, that's it for this week. Today is my little sister Sage's birthday--I can't believe she's already three!!! I remember when she couldn't talk :O Haha, well, she's too young to tell us what she wants, of course, but she uses the iPads enough that she may want a game on it or something (yes, my little sister is probably more efficient in the iPad use than I am. Kids these days, growing up with iPads, whereas when I was young...lol, just kidding ;) And I may not watch MLP today--I don't want to kick anyone off the game to do so, and the show is just okay so that I wouldn't mind missing it :P But it's all good! I may watch some episodes on Youtube or something :) Bye!!!

March Madness

Yep, it is madness. Because half of our family was born in March: my Mom, the oldest, Manny, me, my younger brother, Alston, and my younger sister, Sage. It's still pretty amazing that 50% of us were born in that month, especially considering (I think) that August is the most when most people are born. Just a random fact I thought I'd throw at y'all...

Last week's episode of "My Little Pony" was better! :) I can't believe how every pony was obsessed with Twilight now that she's a princesslike seriously, they were chasing her like zombies. It was actually kind of funny ^_^ Oh, and I really wish the Cutie Marked Crusaders would stop trying to impress Diamond Tiara and Silver Spoon. Like seriously, I can't stand mean girls on shows -_- As for the main characters trying to impress them...it's just not worth it. They're not worth it :P

Sunday I found out that Heroes us being revived as a miniseries in guess what year...2015! If you saw my post a few weeks ago, I wrote how every single popular thing was coming out in 2015. Anyway...if you read My Reviews blog, you'll know that I absolutely loved the first season of Heroes but detested the rest of the seasons. This one is picking up after season 4, so I don't think I'll like it as much (I stopped watching before I got to season 4).

So there was only one other person (other than my sister and I) at dance class Monday :O The teacher said they wouldn't be there because of random stuff (I don't know all the details). There was this new girl who was really good. And we did improv, which is what it says--improvising, but with dance moves. And we had solos...yeah, I was freaking out :O But I did have fun and let myself go...yeah, that happens a lot in dance :)

Switched At Birth was so INTENSE last week! It looks like Kathryn and John are going to divorce because of the kiss, Bay's having problems with her hand again and may not be able to paint, Daphe tried to help Sharee's mother, but she ended up STABBING the doctor, whom Daphne managed to save in time, and Sharee's mother was arrested...Ah, so much DRAMA! I know it's a drama show but it was just too much at times, especially with Sharee's mother :P The promo for next week looked kinda weird...I mean I love dancing, as you all know, but it seems out of place for SAB. On the bright side, this episode certainly had me on the edge of my seat. Whether that's good or bad is debatable, but it held my interest like the writers had intended :O

I don't usually watch "Lab Rats", but my sister turned it on after SAB and it was just cracking me up XD It's better when it deals with their powers instead of random life drama. They really need to use the show to its full potential, because when they do they have me laughing out loud and fully engaged :D

Agents of Shield did't come on Tuesday. I don't know why, but it's not going to air a new episode until next month. Honestly, as I've said before, I'm not really into the show, but I keep watching in hope that it'll get better...plus, it's contacted to the Marvel Cinematic Universe, so as a fan of that I watch other related merchandise. Not to mention the next episode would have Sif in it, so I was kind of excited about that--maybe we'll get a little hint for what's to come in Thor 3 ;)

I went back to volunteer at the library Thursday, after a two-week hiatus, and it was one of the best days of my life. 1). I found "Prodigy" and "Champion", the last two books in the "Lgened" Trilogy that I have been looking for for weeks! :D 2). I MET MACKENZIE LINTZ AND COLIN FORD FROM UNDER THE DOME AND TOOK A PICTURE WITH THEM (the one on top)!!! Seriously, though, I recognized them but didn't say anything because I was super nervous, and I kept texting my Mom and she was like, "Just say something!", but thankfully my brother Manny spoke with them and took the picture!!! :) 3). I got a Big Mac! I haven't had one in literally months, because I've been trying to eat healthy, but gosh, it was so good! :) 4). Meemaw came over! She couldn't come Wednesday because of some other stuff but she was there Thursday ;)

I'm pretty much wrapped up with "Rise or Fall", my what-if Star Wars fanfic set during "Revenge of The Sith"!!! :D I know I got lazy and procrastinated at some parts--mostly during the battle scenes (I know Star Wars' gotta have them, but I like it for the story, not action :P), but I got the overall idea down, and I love that :) Plus, I got down most of another what-if that's basically a shortened version of it, and I'm writing down dialogue from the dozens of "What if Anakin Skywalker hadn't turned to the dark side?" story ideas I have (yeah, I know I'm obsessed, but I just want to help those tragic villains, you know? Don't be surprised if I have a Magneto/Loki/villains from "Once Upon A Time" redemption fanfic too soon ;) The story obviously needs editing, but I'll put it back for at least a month to give my eyes a break from it. It's gonna be a load editing that sucker, but I know I can do it, and I feel incredibly inspired after seeing the wonderful fanfictions published that were long and had to be edited. We writers inspire each other! :)

Well, that's it for the week, I'm really enjoying "Prodigy". And I'm still not over the shock from meeting Mackenzie Lintz and Colin Ford :) My parents decided to go out for breakfast, and, well, when you're with Dad, it turns out into a full-fledged Let's-Go-Around-Town adventure XD haha, ciao!
