Holiday Season Stuff

I'm so happy that this break is coming up, but I'm also kind of sad. I know I've said this countless times before, but I still can't believe that the year is almost over! I'll be a senior in high school next year, I will have been dancing for six years, I will have been writing for about four yearsso much has happened!  Gosh, the time flies! But anyway, enough of me complaining about my life passing by. It's not like I miss my childhood or enough (*goes to cry in the corner because she wants to be 7 again*)

This Saturday's episode of My Little Pony was kind of…so-so. Not bad, but just kind of eh. It was about the Cutie Mark Crusaders, which was fine, but the only pony of the Mane Six to show up was Rainbow Dash :/ Plus, it just seemed like one of those episodes about them learning a lesson because one of the mean girls (Diamond Tiara or whatever her name is) tried to tempt Scootaloo to do something or whatever. I don't understand why she would even listen to her, considering how snotty she knows Diamond is. But whatever, it was some mindless entertainment to pass by time.

The Little Mermaid came on ABC Family Sunday and I watched the full thing! Gosh, I can't believe I still love that movie after all of the years I watched it as a child (I was, am, passively obsessed with it. I can practically recite the scenes in my head). Thank you so much, Disney, for making this movie, for making me obsessed with mermads. My childhood wouldn't have been the same without it ^_^

Once Upon A Time season 3's mid finale was just…"Huh?" to me. Felix is kind of randomly killed, the Blue Fairy's death is kind of just glossed over until she suddenly comes to life, they Peter Pan character is way too powerful for his own good, Rumple is "killed" (I don't believe it until I see what's going to happen in the next episode), but worst of all, they just went backwards to season one's storyline! Except now, Emma is the cursed one who doesn't remember anything! Okay I don't want to be rude, but justdid they run out of ideas? This is almost exactly what happened in season 1! I'm just so disappointed that a show I once loved has now jumped the shark. Before I was just "meh" about it and hoped my opinion would change once they got out of Neverland, but, now I've lost that hope :P I'm still going to watch it when it returns in March, butit's just not the same as it was before. I'm sorry, writers. I think you should have just stopped at season 2 if you were running out of ideas :(

I just realized why my writer's block is so bad--I haven't been watching any shows I REALLY love lately! Once Upon A Time, Switched At Birth, and My Little Pony have all dropped in quality for me, unfortunately. I was never really into Agents of Shield and just feel so-so about it. I'd better get back to watching some of the shows that I was more interested in to overcome this horrible writer's block :P Back to Lost and Doctor Who it is!

In my writing, I have kind of been everywhere. I started randomly writing the first draft for the first book of my magical fantasy/adventure series, Enchanted. The weird thing is that I have written/come up with ideas for later books, but it's taken me five years to come up with the first novel (granted I only came up with the idea for the first Enchanted novel in 2008, but I was never hit with an idea for the pilot then. This is definitely one of my favorite projects to work on, and I feel like it's just getting more and more layers due to the length I've spent on it. The characters are feeling more fleshed out than my newer ones, the plots I'm coming up with are a little more concrete than others, and I even have a small universe forming (I've always wanted to create my own universe, just like Star Wars and Harry Potter have their own :)

In addition to Enchanted, I have some ideas scattered here on there. The second book planned for the Hyper-Monkey series (the superhero action/adventure) has been playing in my head recently. Already I already wrote down an outline for it awhile ago, I feel pieces of dialgoue in my head falling into place. One thing I learned from the book I got for young, aspiring writers is to write down every piece of dialogue you can remember so that you can possibly write it down in a story, so that's what I'm doing. Hopefully I'll then have some complete scenes and will be able to slip them into the story with some ease :)

I'm finally going to (or will try VERY hard to) write a what-if fanfiction for Star Wars, set during Revenge of the Sith. It's going to explore what could have happened if Anakin hadn't turned to the dark side and overcame the temptations much earlier on than he did in the films. It's a project I have been wanting to work on for about 8 years now, ever since I saw ROTS. I was so heartbroken by what had happened but it really inspired me as well, with how meaningful it was. So anyway, I'm working on that and plan to write it sometime next year, probably after I write the second Hyper-Monkey novel.  I'm already writing down a few outlines and some dialogue I hope to include, plus I read so STUPID good fanfics on Fanfiction.net and will probably (unintentionally on some) borrow ideas. But I will also add my own to make it more original. Not that a fanfic is original, but whatever…I'm so excited for this project. It's probably going to be my most dramatic, meaningful, epic fanfic EVER :)

So apparently we're moving to another state or city…yep, I just found this out a week or so ago. The city they're talking about is pretty far from here, but the state is even farther. I'm not mad that we're moving, but I'm just not prepared for this! I literally JUST moved to my new house about 7 months ago, and now they're talking about moving a year from when we moved here? Oh well, I'll just have to be prepared…and purge…and get ready…It's so crazy how my parents want to move so often. I remember moving at least eight times in my life (we've moved more than that), but it just feels like we've never been everywhere for long (except the house that I moved to in 2005--that lasted for about 4 years). But whatever, I'm sure it's for the best.

Since I loved Charlotte's Web so much, I decided to read another one of E.B. White's famous novels--Stuart Little. It wasn't Charlotte's Web for me, but I rather enjoyed it. The writing style of White was very good, and I think that's what originally pulled me in to Charlotte's Web. It did end kind of abruptly, but it was still a very nice read and probably the best book I've read in awhile (I haven't read anything I've really loved since Legend, which was a few months ago).

Meemaw came Wednesday :)

Okay, so I recently looked up the films that were coming out in 2015, just out of curiosity, and I was incredibly shocked at how many highly-anticipated films were coming out that year. Here's a list of some of them: Avengers: Age of Ultron, The Hunger Games: Mockingjay Part 2, Star Wars Episode VII, Avatar 2, Bond 24, Man of Steel sequel, Terminator 5, Jurassic World, The Fantastic Four, Independence Day 2, Minions, It's A Wonderful Life 2, Pitch Perfect 2 to just name a few. I'm planning on watching at least 5 of those films mentioned, and believe me, I rarely watch more than 2 or 3 films in a year. I think 2015 is going to explode from all of the films coming out that year XD

The screenwriting course is still very engaging. It's harder on some parts, when they talk about making compelling story lines and characters, but it really helps you realize why you love some movies and you don't others.

I can't believe that, at the end of the year, I will have had my blog for one year. Almost exactly one year (I started my blog in January). Gosh, I can't believe this. I forgot how long I've been doing this. I didn't used to blog regularly, but now I've become so used to it that it's become second nature. I just love getting down my thoughts and occasionally looking back at my post. It's like having an online diary :)
