Television, Writing, Dancing, And More

I really am running out of titles for my blog post :P It's just that it's basically the same thing every week, so I don't know what to call it. To be honest, though, I think this one is one of my better ones. But anyway...

My Little Pony was slightly better last week--Applejack had a funny line. But Fluttershy's stage fright...I don't know. It just seems as if they're taking a step back with her maturity. Like, she was growing out of her shyness and becoming more assertive (if ever so slightly) in season 2, and now she's back to this!

Oh my gosh...I read the screenplay for "Revenge of The Sith" online (cause, you know, I'm obsessed with that movie), and I discovered so many deleted scenes that would have made the film even better! OMG why weren't they in the deleted scenes? I guess they had a running time to fill :/ But you can bectha I'm gonna include as much as I can in my fanfic ;)

Speaking of Star Wars, I'm about finished with my fanfic now, since it's been about a month ;) I actually started working on it before February, but it's fine that I'm finishing up now--I took a head start in January, partially because I knew I'd get to the part where I'd get a condition writers know as procrastinating ;) Haha, there are just some scenes I'd rather not write (i.e. battle scenes--I know it's a Star Wars fanfic, but I love it for the story more than the action) and some scenes feel so awkward and out-of-character that I don't write jack. But I have to keep reminding myself that first drafts are NOT supposed to be perfect and that I can fix it later on. Overall I think I've gotten pretty far in this, at least farther than I did in Hyper-Monkey. The first draft's just for the idea, and then, of course, I'll work on polishing it. But I love the feeling of kicking back for a month or so and examining your work. Feels good :)

Okay, I know I've had Star Wars on the brain lately (because of the new movies and Rebel series, not to mention my fanfic), and I feel lil I've been thinking about it WAY too much, but I just have to say that I read more of the novelization of "The Empire Strikes Back" and that I'm really enjoying it! I spent so much time in the Prequel Trilogy timeline that I didn't realize how great that movie was, not mention I want to get back in the grove with "A New Hope". At least this way I'm balancing out my SW obsession by going to multiple timelines--hehe ;)

We did the choreography we did last week in dance class Monday, which I loved :) I really liked the song and the dance. It's called "Swimming" by Florence+The Machine. I was thinking of uploading me doing it on Youtube, if I can figure out to upload it (I'm not sure if it accepts the file I used to record it in, and, as many times and years I spent on Youtube, I have NO idea how to upload a video unless it's from my phone :/)

Agh, Switched At Birth is so...well, I'm getting tired of the romantic drama--Daphne and Bay, please stop dating so many guys and stay single for awhile, it's getting hard to keep up with them--but then this week Kathryn found out about John kissing Janeice...the actors are really good. I felt so bad for Kathryn and felt like crying :( Oh, and I really really am mad at John. He's been irking me so far this season, with his little respect for Kathryn. But Kathryn shouldn't have written that book without his permission...oh, they definitely have things to work out in their relationship :/

I've been doing swaps like crazy on Figment, especially since I have two contest entries and need some feedback for them. I really hope I win, of course, but then there's this other girl who had an AWESOME story and I hope she wins. I hope we can have multiple winners ^_^

Meemaw came over Wednesday and we raced again. I still couldn't beat my brother, Manny, ut I was in second! :P Haha, anyway, we also played some dodgeball and just overall had fun with my grandma's weekly visit ^_^

Let's see what else I did...I stayed up to finish reading "The Empire Strikes Back", so I have nothing else to read (boohoo :P) Not really, but I've got to find something REALLY good to read at the library (I can't buy anything, cause I'm poor lol :P). I'm almost wrapped up with my Star Wars fanfic (YAY!)--it's a very rough first draft but I'm glad I got my idea and played it out ^_^

Afterwards I'm going to write the second Lizard-Man novel (YAY!) and perhaps translate it into a screenplay. I don't know. O like how novels have more descriptions than screenplays, but some descriptions I like skipping, so that's when I like screenplays. I don't particularly care for writing/reading most action scenes, so for my crime drama idea, "Crime And Punishment", screenplays would be better. So I'll do a mix of both with Lizard-Man. And then I'll have to edit it because it's a little too similar to Spider-Man, and I want to publish it without getting sued :/

Well, that's pretty much it for now. I am rather sore from exercising yesterday--it's a hassle climbing upstairs :P Since it's Saturday (YAY!!!) "My Little Pony" is going to come o in a few hours. I'll probably do some writing (I never take a break from that--lol), may get on those writing websites to do more "swaps" (ask someone to read/review my story and then read/review theirs in turn), play Lego video games, and just be lazy on Saturday. Bye!!!

The Shortest Month Of The Year

It's the truth! Even during Leap Years, February has less than thirty days and almost exactly four weeks :/ It's part of the reason the year goes by way too fast. Curse you Augustus! (There's a little history behind the fact that February is so short, but I won't get into that...) Anyway...

I was a little afraid with My Little Pony when they made Rarity have a crush on another filly and then he liked Applejack and Rarity got jealous. I mean, I love romance and all, but the main reason I loved MLP was because it derived away from the sappy romance :/ But thankfully it wasn't TOO bad. I actually think they did a pretty good job with it, even if the episode itself was so-so. It feels like the other ponies are slowly fading away as they focus solely on one person in their centric episode...I liked it better when they were all together :P

I really like the dance choreography we're doing in dance class! It's by a band I recently got into via Spotify. I'm not sure if we're doing it for the showcase or not (probably not), but I'm at least glad that I learned it. It reminds me of little choreography I used to do in my jazz teacher's dance class at my older studio. I love doing random choreography and then recording it on my computer when I get home. It's like having little mini recitals :)

It snowed again Wednesday! Well, it wasn't really snow, more of ice. The schools were closed again, except for yours truly, since, of course, homeschoolers don't need to go out to do their schoolwork :P
So we basically just got a week of a break from snow, and then more snow. Or ice. I'll just call it snow-ice or "fake" snow lol

Oh, and get this--the snow was messing with the power, so the electricity went out! Yep, we had a blackout :P It wasn't really that bad, but a major inconvenience. Luckily it was daytime, so we could still see, but we had no internet (what a crisis! Lol) and the lights, stove, microwave, etc. didn't work. We went out to places where there was electricity--we had lunch at Costco (even though the lights flickered several times), and a few other places. Thankfully I found internet lol! :P

I've been continuing to write my Star Wars fanfic, but I have had some delays. It's mostly because I don't like writing/reading battle scenes, but of course, since it's a Star Wars fanfic, I have to :P But thankfully I got some advice from other writers on the forums on Fanfiction.Net. I at least have an idea now on how to approach the subject.

So Valentine's Day was Friday (also a birthday of one of my good friends :D). I've never really celebrated it, but I did get a nice little email from one of my good friends :) Also, I don't want to turn this into some deep post, but I think that people who are kind of feeling longing for having no one to share Valentine's Day with can realize that love comes in all forms--platonic and romantic. There's nothing wrong with being single. All us single ladies (and men) should listen to that Beyonce song! :D

I may have posted a while ago about running out of books to read, but now I've at least forced myself to read some good stuff. I am obsessed with the Tudor family, so I decided to look at a book about Queen Elizabeth. I also reread some of the Star Wars novels I got (I need more of 'em!) and some book that retold classic Greek and Roman myths. The latter was very entertaining, as I have always wanted to read the Greek myths as a Greek mytho fanatic, and gave me some ideas on remaking the myths.

In other writing news, I've been entering in contests via Figment and Movellas! I can't believe I got three followers in one day on Figment! :O I'm so happy :D I find that entering through contests are really fun because 1). it gives me a challenge, and I do so love a good challenge :D 2). it helps me get some traffic on my page since multiple people are entreating said contest 3). I can possibly win (of course :D) and 4). there are prizes to be won (even though this isn't my main reason, it's still exciting.

I know I already posted this last week (at least I think I did), but I'm only going to focus on two of my book series, Enchanted (maybe) and Lizard-Man (of my original stories--of course, I've got a bundle of fanfics I wanna write). It's only because, especially after taking that introduction to screenwriting course I mentioned a few weeks ago (wow, it's been that long? :O), it helped me realize that those are the two stories that are best structured and that I need to work more on my others. Actually, there are a few others that are well-srtiuctured, such as my zombie hunter novel series, but I'll get to that later. I'm only doing this so that I can really focus on editing those books--I realize that I never make time to edit my stories cause I've got a bazillion others to write! So I need a little break to figure out those stories and in the meanwhile focus on my others.

Well, that's pretty much it for this week. Once again the snow has completely thrown off my week (I had a hard time memorizing what day it was :O). I haven't been able to go to the library because of it, so I really hope I can go next week. And "My Little Pony" is coming on in about an hour, so I'll be watching that. I've also got some writing to do, as well as some reading. Bye!!!

Blog of A Sixteen-Year-Old Girl

(My lovely friend Sarah made this and tagged me in the picture of Facebook. It was very sweet :)

I really am running out of creative titles, so I just went with this obvious title. But anyway...

I guess last week's episode of MLP was a little better. I don't know, the vibe and flow felt smoother to me than past episodes. But it was more about Pinkie Pie than the other ponies, and I love all of them :P But it was still good.

So I went back to dance class Monday! It feels like I've been gone forever. I didn't go a few other weeks because of MLK Jr.'s birthday (though they were open, I took the day off), and then of course the snow day through everything off and the roads were closed.

I found out that the studio's end of the year showcase, which is basically their recital, minus the fee, has a theme every year. This year's theme is Alice In Wonderland. I have to admit that I'm curious to see what we'll be doing this semester :D

Switched At Birth, unfortunately, was not as good as next week. It was focusing more on the romance. And they lied about Bemment! They didn't get back together! I should have known that, and a part of me did, but seriously...I don't know if Emmet and Bay will be able to pass this stage, after he cheated on her, but I hope they will, eventually. And of course they had to make me wait next week after showing tons of drama, but none as much as JOHN KISSING NIKKI'S MOTHR. That's right, JOHN WAS KISSING HIS SON'S MOTHER-IN-LAW. THIS MAKES NO SENSE. HOW CAN JOHN CHEAT ON KATHRYN WITH HIS SORT OF RELATIVE???!!! WHAT IS THE WORLD COMING TO??? Okay, okay, I'm done, it's just that next week won't come soon enough, and of course I'll be late to see a little less than the first half because of dance class...Ugh, why do you do this to me, ABC Family? There's usually a lot less drama than the promo showed, and yet it still pulls me in. Anyway...

Agents of Shield came back on Tuesday, after a mysterious two-week hiatus (don't know why), and it was still okay. I wonder why I keep watching it if I don't love it. But it's connected to the Marvel Cinematic Universe, and I hope it gets better. At least the actors are tweeting while the show's on--that's cool :) And it's going on another hiatus until March (I don't know why, but whatever. Some things will stay a mysterious to me...)

Meemaw came over Wednesday and we played some sudoku and cards. We also raced, and omg...my legs hurt so bad. And my sides did for awhile. I guess I haven't run in awhile...makes me not want to do it again :P lol

I feel like I'm the only person who didn't watch the Superbowl :P I never did before, so it wast really a surprise when I didn't this Sunday. I heard it wasn't very good (first from my brother and my parents), but everyone was saying that Bruno Mars had a really good performance.

I just found out that day that J.K. Rowling said that Hermione should have ended up with Harry instead of Ron. I really don't know how I feel about this...I mean, Ron and Hermione definitely had chemistry with their arguments, but at the same time I'm not sure if they would have ended up together romantically. And yeah, Harry and Hermione had chemistry, but I'm not sure if I would have liked them together, not to mention I liked Harry with Ginny. I'm just a bit conflicted now, I guess. No biggie, though. It's not like J.K.'s gonna recton this.

I feel like I'm getting really far in my Star Wars fanfic! :D Of course, it's gonna need some editing (for example, I really need to stop replaying so many scenes from the film), but I'm really liking where I'm going with this! I'm exploring aspects of the series that I wished had been explored in the films and making characters realize/say things (without going out of character, of course!) that they didn't before. This may be my favorite fanfiction yet :)

Speaking of fanfiction...yeah, I really need to be banned from the website. They've got so many good darn ones! I usually read ones for the Prequel Trilogy in Star Wars (I prefer the timeline, although the Original Trilogy were better structured film wise), but then I decided to look into the OT and found that I was enjoying it and forgot how good it was with all my focus on the PT! And then I made myself read Harry Potter fanfics (because I am too invested in SW sometimes and I love HP), and I stumbled across some really good ones, namely a REALLY good one that had me reading on my laptop for hours. Plus there are other fanfictions (like one for The Little Mermaid that I read years ago but couldn't find again until recently) that I love. So yeah, I need to be banned from Fanfiction.Net, less my fangirl disease take over me...I have a problem.

In other writing news, I have decided to enter in writing contests on the online writing communities I'm involved in (i.e. Figment, Movellas). Movellas has the most, but they've got like five contests running on at once! :O It's a bit overwhelming, but I want to enter in them all! Not only do I enjoy a little writing encouragement, but I also hope that, since it's in a contest, I can maybe get some more traffic on my stories :)

I think it'd be really cool if I could have a writer's group to get together and give constrictive criticism and tips on how to improve. I couldn't find one locally (I guess no one my age is really interested in writing--bohoo :/) and I had one online with a few of my online friends, but that group died a slow death...But hopefully I can restart it up!

So yeah, that's my week in a nutshell. As usual, since it's Saturday, I'm gonna watch "My Little Pony". I think this episode's about the Equestria Games--it seems like they're doing that one a lot. I know I keep criticizing it for jumping the shark, but at least I'm still enjoying it! :D Oh, and I guess the Olympic Games are on...or were on...I don't know, I don't watch it and hardly know anything about it, so...anyway...Bye!!!

Happy New Month!

Hey, hey, y'all! Can you believe it's already February? Granted, this whole blog post will incorporate most of last week, so some of it will have been from January, but I'm posting it in February. Okay, I'm blabbing on. Anyway...

Let's see, what have I done interesting...Well, Meemaw came over last Saturday and we played cards again. She also taught me how to play Sudoku. So now I learned a new skill! :D Oh, and last week, I blogged that my dad had been gone for two weeks. Well, guess what--he came home Monday :D So that was cool

Switched At Birth was better this week. They were doing more issues with the school between the deaf kids vs. hearing kids and other more family related/serious issues instead of just romantic stuff. And the promo for next week...oh my. I hate how ABC Family does this to me, mixing clips together with dramatic exchanges between characters. BUT THEN THEY HAD TO SHOW BEMMET KISSING!!! NOT FROM THE PAST SEASON THEY DID BEFORE, BUT THIS SEASON!!!

There was a warning that it'd snow Tuesday, so no one had school (except me, the homeschooler who doesn't need to go out to do school. But I did take off two of my easier subjects this week! :D)  It snowed, I think, Wednesday, and the snow stayed Thursday and started thawing Friday. One thing that's perplexing about weather in my city is that it's constantly changing. One minute it's cold and the next it's hot (it was actually 70 something degrees this winter! :O) I live in the south and whenever it snows, we have to close down the roads cause we're not used to it--which, you know, sucks if you wanted to go out. It's actually more like ice than snow. I'm not sure if I got a good picture, but the one on top should at least give you an idea of what it looks like.

I got really stuck on Hyper-Monkey (unfortunately) so I must wrap it up soon :P Ugh, I feel like this is the worst draft I've ever written for HM! I really ran out of ideas, all thanks to lack of engaging books! I need to read a good book--I may have to resort to rereading Harry Potter (though it won't give me any new new ideas, at least it'll be a book I love!) At the least, though, I can always edit this draft :)

On the bright side, my Star Wars fanficition is coming along well! I've copied A LOT from the Revenge of The Sith novelization, only because the beginning was pretty much the same (minus some changes that may seem minor but will change in the future). I think I'm making it a little too similar to the actual film, though, so I'll edit that in draft two. But one of my favorite fanfic writers told me that reading novelizations (because I asked for her advice) dealing with said characters in said fandom help you get them in character and not out of character (known as OOC to the fanfiction world), and I think it is helping. Fingers crossed that I'll be able to get this fanfic as well as I can and hopefully people will like it when I'm finished! :D

I took the screenwriting finals AND I PAST. YES. I had to get at least 74% and I got 78% :) I wanted to get closer to 100%, but whatever: I PASSED!!! YESS!!!! :D This class was fun, but hard, and omg, I got so SICK of rereading through my lessons to make sure I got the answers right on the test! It was an open book test, but I wanted to see if I could do well with remembering it. But anyway, I PASSED!!! WHOHOO!!! I PASSED MY FIRST COLLEGE COURSE EVA!!!

Well, that's it for the week. The snow's still thawing, but I'm sure it'll clear it soon next week. I've also got "My Little Pony" today, and I have to finish my math work (bleh!) because I didn't get it done yesterday, not to mention I have a test...Yeah, this snow has totally thrown off my week. I couldn't keep up with the days for awhile, since most people were out of school. Bye!!!
