Fall Beginnings

I decided to join a few websites for publishing stories, trying to see if I can get a wider audience. I really do want to publish them when I get the chance, but as for now I'm just putting them up for the public to see :)

I've suddenly gone through a brainstorm of dance choreography. I've been choreographing parts of songs for awhile, but I got stuck on what to do on some parts. Now I'm 2/3 done with one of my modern choreography! :D I think it's because I went to that new dance studio; just like writers are inspired by other writers, dancers are inspired by dance teachers. I'll try to post my finished (or maybe unfinished) choreography on my Dance HQ blog ;)

Okay, so this was really crazy...I needed a protractor for geometry, and we didn't have one, so Momma went to look for them at the store. But guess what--most of them didn't have it! We looked around many places--Target was sold out, Big Lots didn't have them, Harris Teeter didn't have them... Seriously, does NO one sell a protractor in my city?! But whatever...my Grandma found one at Walmart and bought it for me. Ah, good old Walmart. Always carries things that others don't.

Had an awesome dance class Monday! I really like contemporary! :) The teacher is very, very energetic and friendly, and she's always telling us to not worry about failing in dance and just doing our best. Makes me feel good about myself :). Oh, and then there are these three girls, all sisters, whom I met in a homeschool group a LONG while back. We went strawberry picking with them, which I remember, but I don't remember who it was with! XD But I was like, eight or so…Anyway, I didn't really talk to them because I've got that annoying shy thing, but I listened in on some conversation they were having and it seemed funny. So basically what I'm saying is that I had a great dance class :)

So "Agents of Shield" came out on Tuesday! It wasn't exactly what I suspected, and some parts were hard to follow (it's pretty fast-paced), but overall it was good! It was exciting, funny, action-packed, and thrilling! For those of you who don't know, "Agents of Shield" is a spinoff series of "The Avengers" film. It's about S.H.E.I.L.D. and their regular pursuits. One thing really cool about the series is that they connect it to the events that happened in "The Avengers", so it's all set in the same week :) As my entire family are superhero nuts, we'll be watching this series every Tuesday night :)

Grandma came over Wednesday. We played outside for awhile and had a lot of fun. And then Momma brought Bojangos for dinner! Tuesday we had eaten Five Guys, so that was two delicious fast foods back-to-back! But I've been eating healthy lately :P Ah, well, I can usually eat unhealthy on Sunday, so I'll just eat healthier that day :)

Oh, and apparently we're staying at this beach house next week...yeah, Momma and Daddy just told Meemaw that and let it slip it. I hate it when people don't tell me when they're making plans -_- But anyway...I hope they do it no earlier than a Friday-I can get my work done earlier so I can be completely off that week!

I've been watching :Once Upon A Time" again, after a short hiatus. It's still very good and addicting, but I had to stop. I've been spending more time working on my stories. I think I'll take a break on Saturday/Sunday so I'll use those days to catch up on my shows :)

Speaking of writing, I've been writing that "Werebeasts" story that I think I mentioned in the last post. But if I didn't, I'll just explain it here...the story is about a guy who is given this mutation by a crazy scientist; the scientist injected the teen with wolf DNA, and whenever he gets anxious or it's the full moon, he transforms into a wolf! It's my science fiction take on werewolves, and I love it. It's very unique, I think, and has a lot of potential. But of course, we'll see...I really want to publish it, but I've gotta make sure it doesn't rip off "Teen Wolf". I mean, I've never seen that show, but I read up about it and mine is similar to it...ugh, I hate stealing from other people's work :P

On Thursday, Momma told us some fun thing we were gonna do Friday! We're going to get our work done earlier in the morning, and then I'll leave sometime after Manny is dropped off to school to volunteer at the library. Then, when I've done my two hours, Momma'll pick up me and Manny and drop us off at Meemaw's house! We'll maybe have lunch there and hang out for a few hours, and then we'll go to the booksale in the evening! It's going to be So. Much. Fun. I can hardly wait. I'm actually picturing the day right now!

Eek, it's Friday now! I'm so excited! Bye!!!

Preparing For Autumn

I know I've said this a thousand times, but I can't believe how fast the time goes by! It's already Autumn. I mean, seriously? It's like someone has sped up the time at 100000000000 speed. But whatever...

I went shopping for clothes on Sunday, which is something I really needed. Well, I did have clothes, but I got tired of wearing the same clothes every week :P Lol.

On Monday, I tried a contemporary class at the studio I tried last week and enjoyed it. Not as much as tap, maybe, but I liked how there were more people in this one. The only problem is that I can't take this class AND tap because they run into the same time. I suppose I could take modern on Wednesday, which is similar to contemporary, but the studio is far away from where we live and my Mom doesn't want to go out much more than once a week. But we'll see...

Meemaw came over Wednesday, and then again Friday :).

In other news, I've been reading "The Alchemyst". It's really, really interesting and well-written. I've realized that it's been awhile since I've read a good book, which explains my writer's block :P. So I'm not gonna force myself to read books I don't like, (like some adaption of "The Trojan War"--like the conception, but not that adaption).

I've also been getting together my story, if that makes any sense. Like I've been creating episodes in this book series, "Lizard-Man", and creating the characters' personalities. I find that getting the story's universe and characters and plots really help advance the story.

Speaking of writing, I've had to write 5-paragraphed proof essays for literature in my English. It may seem easy, but it's really difficult. There are all these rules you have to do; you have to have three proofs and include details from the story. Also, you have to make a quote, intro and outro...yeah, it's a whole lotta stuff. I'm probably not making any sense, but it would take several paragraphs to explain it...it's not that it's horrible, but it is mind draining. But now I can use my proofs to prove theories I've had in stories!

Me and my younger sister Amber have been getting into a debate on who's "evil" and not. I keep insisting that no one is purely evil, but she's saying that the Evil Queen in "Once Upon A Time" isn't purely evil, but Magneto, Anakin Skywalker, and Loki are. But whatever...I probably should drop it soon. She's been watching OOAT regularly and doesn't know the other characters as much (especially Anakin and Magneto, whom she doesn't remember in watching their films). I guess I'm just defensive because I love Loki and Magneto, and especially Anakin. I've kinda got a thing for him...so embarrassing O_o

Speaking of "Once Upon A Time", I recently started watching it because of its popularity, and a few of my friends liked it on Facebook. The first episode was so-so, but now I'm really getting into the series. I really like Emma and Mr. Gold is awesome, and Regina's interesting. But I hate how I like it now, because I've been trying to finish "Lost" so now I've got too many shows to watch!!! I'm in season 4 but there are 6 seasons of "Lost", and I've barely finished season one of OOAT. And then there's"Under The Dome", but that just went off...

Ah well, that's not really important. Let me see what else I have been up to...

Went to the library on Thursday and saw the library book sale sign. It's exactly one week from now...I am so excited. Seriously, why can't the book sale be today? I literally cannot wait another day. I have to keep telling myself that it's the 27, but the day doesn't seem to come fast enough. The irony of it all, though, is that I usually want the time to slow down. But I guess it never does when you're excited for something, does it? Ah :P

Well, that's all I can think of for today. I just found out that Netflix is streaming a bunch of Disney films, such as "Lilo And Stitch", and I found that "Emperor's New Groove" was in the mix. I loved that movie! I literally grew up with it--I can still recall most of the trailer and many of the quotes! It was just so funny and it really is underrated. I'm defiantly watching that film as a Friday night event ;)

Bye, y'all!!!

New Stuff Going On

Hiya everyone! I cannot BELIEVE that it's always the 13th! Where does the time go? But I didn't come here to rant about how fast (TOO fast) the days go by. It's time for me to summarize my week, just like I always do!

On Monday, I tried a tap class and really enjoyed it! The teacher was peppy and fun and the class itself was pretty advanced. The only thing I didn't like was how there was only one other person in class, but this is the studio that didn't offer tap before so they might not have a lot of people right away. My dad also knows a lady whom taps in his band who offers a tap class, so I might try hers, too. And of course I've gotta do modern-I'm a dancing machine! XD

My evil math book got here on Tuesday--NOOOOOO!!! Haha, I'm just kidding...seriously, though, math is my least favorite subject <_< But it wasn't SO bad, I guess. Since it was the first day it was just an introduction. I'm sure the later problems will be harder, but at least I'm prepared for it now.

So my grandfather came over that day, spent some time with me. I didn't know he was coming until my Mom told me. He doesn't usually come over, so that was a little unexpected. But it was nice. He stayed for a little while, and then "the adults talked" (every kid knows what this mean--the adults chat on for several minutes while the kids hang out).

I realized (a little while after waking up on Wednesday) that it was September 11... I was too young to remember when it happened, but...what a horrible tragedy. I pray for all of those who lost loved ones and hope they rest in piece. Sorry, I don't want to depress anyone. It's just some thoughtful thoughts...

I just realized that my family has a lot of books. I mean A LOT. Like, several shelves. I always knew we had a lot, but I guess now I'm just realizing how MUCH we have. So anyway, I said all that to say that I was purging through the books; I want to get rid of them so that we have more room for the booksale. And I decided to stop borrowing books from the library (for awhile) and read some of the books we have at home--no need for them to go to waste, after all. I started reading "The Mayflower Adventure" a few days ago (it's not a popular series, but it's historical fiction--something I've recently gotten interested in).

My grandma came over Wednesday. She stayed for several hours and we did some things together. One thing I don't understand is that she's always giving me clothes that she insists make her look "too young"! I keep telling her that it doesn't matter if that's what younger people usually wear, but whatever...but yeah, I had fun with her. I decided not to go to the library that day because she came during my normal block.

Well now it's Friday, near the end of the week. I'm finishing up school and anticipating the weekend. I've been watching "Under The Dome" on Amazon and they put up new episodes every Friday, so I can't wait to watch it. They left such a cliffhanger last week! Oh, and today's Friday the 13 guys...that horror film, "Insidious 2", came out today...I'm sure that doesn't mean anything. It's just a film, after all; it's not real...

*Creak, creak* Uh, what was that? *Creak, creak* The door just opened by itself... *Creak, creak* I see a silhouette coming in...oh no, a hockey mask. It's Jason Vorhees! AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!

Lol!!! XD Ciao, y'all!!!

September's Here!

And I'm kinda sad! More than half of the year is over now. Before I know it it'll be 2014, then 2015, 2016, 2017...yeah, I'm going ahead of time, but look how fast the year's going bye! I swear, I wish I could go back in time or freeze it...

But it's not all bad! My library's having a booksale near the end of the month! I am SO excited that I can hardly wait!!! The last book in "Divergent", "Allegiant", will be out in October or November, and Thor 2's coming out in November (pretty stoked for that)...Not to mention in 2014 THE DIVERGENT MOVIE WILL COME OUT!!!!!!!!!!!!

Okay, now that THAT's all out of the way, I'm going to review what I've been doing this week.

So Monday was Labor Day! You do not know how HAPPY I was to take off Monday! It was a three-day weekend, baby! YEAH!!! I kinda wasted it, yeah, but I was so glad I had no school :). I mean I'm not doing a whole lot, but still...if you had a choice of a little schoolwork vs. none, which would YOU choose?

I've been watching "Under The Dome", partly because they filmed in my hometown, but mostly because my Mom said it was good. It is pretty interesting, I will admit. And it's cool whenever I saw Aisha Hinds and Natalie Martinez on the show because my Mom MET THEM IN PERSON. Oh yeah, I'm cool ;)

Wow, I'm typing a lot in caps lock. Just a thought...

School wasn't TOO bad today. Writing a proof essay is pretty difficult, though. It's only five paragraphs, but there are certain things you have to include in each and it must stay on topic. So even though it's short, it has to be good. But I like being able to prove something in a story and using legit reasoning. I think I may just do that for other things (like movies I've watched).

Ooh, in history I'm doing a unit study for the Tudors. I just love English history, but what I loved even more was reading up about the Tudors. That family was MESSED. UP. Seriously, they could've had a reality television show if they were alive now...course, I doubt they'd let King Henry VII kill his wives on screen O_o

ANYWAY let's get to something less morbid...

I brought Ariana Grande's new album, and let me just say: WOW. No offense, but I didn't expect much from the girl on Victorious (although they have some great singers on that show). I'm not a huge R&B fan (becoming one), but I always liked "The Way" (the first single off the album). I just love her singing and her music She's got a bright future ahead of her. Good job, Ariana :)

I have serious writer's block now. Either that or I do not want to finish the story I'm currently writing. Sometimes, whenever I get past the good parts, I feel like skipping over the "boring" parts. But I think it's a little that and a mix of writer's block. Sometimes seeing others writing stories inspire me. And I want to publish more than three stories on Figment, so that'll get me writing :). In the meantime, I may just go back to my other stories or edit finished ones. That usually helps me get rid of the stupid block :P

Speaking of writing, my dear Sarah Demens had offered some of her friends to draw fan art for one of her stories. As a part-time artist I couldn't refuse, of course, so I made her some :). I was thinking of getting people to make me some fan art for my stories, though, because my artwork is okay. I mean, I wish it looked more realistic. But I'm sure none of you want to hear me complain about that, so let's move on...

I picked up a few books from the library went I went on Thursday. I just loved "Shiver" so much that I just had to get the second book in the series. I also picked up a book on geometry for whenever I get it (it should be here soon) and a book on King Henry's wives. Afterwards,  I went with Momma to the grocery store. She got me duct-tape (YAY!!!) and we got some desserts, namely chocolate. AND REESE'S. Yup, I love me some Reese's. That candy is pure heaven. Seriously, I posted a picture of it on Instagram and three or four of my friends liked it.

I finally finished the first book in the Chronicles of Narnia series after trudging myself through it. I had picked it up MONTHS ago but I never finished because it never engaged me. I just think it's a bit overrated (no offense to those who like it, of course). It just seemed bland and repetitive to me. But it wasn't HORRIBLE; I mean, I liked some parts of it. And if nothing else, it gives me another book to review on MyReads :)

Well, that turned out to be a long post, didn't it? I think that pretty much sums up my entire week. See you guys later!!!
